Basic Function of a Ballast

Electronic ballast manufacturer (s) have been changing the technology and shape of blasters from time to time. Ballast can be as plain as capacitor, inductor/resistor or maybe the combination and on the other hand they can be as complicated as ballasts used in high intensity discharge lamp, induction lamps or fluorescent lamps. The basic functions of ballast are to bound or limit the quantity of current in a circuit. If the blasters are not used the current won’t be restricted resulting in damage/ destruction.

The role of electronic ballast is to balance or limit the load of negative resistance to a positive reactance or resistance and it is all done by limiting the current. Electronic ballast manufacturer (s) have been producing the variety of blasters which can be used in various purposes for instance some ballasts are also used simple to reduce the current deliberately. In the low powered lights such as light emitting diode and neon fixed ballast is used, whereas in the lights like hid, fluorescent or induction a large ballast is preferred because their light is extra potent and requires steady current.
